What is laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is the process of removing unwanted hair by
means of exposure to pulses of laser light that destroy the hair
follicle. The efficacy of laser hair removal is now generally
accepted in the dermatology community, and laser hair removal is
widely practiced in clinics, and even in homes using devices
designed and priced for consumer self-treatment. Many reviews of
laser hair removal methods, safety, and efficacy have been
published in the dermatology literature.
How does laser hair removal work?
DM-808B uses its unique laser with long pulse-width 808nm to
penetrate into hair follicle. Using the theory of selective optical
absorption, laser can be preferentially absorbed by the melanin of
the hair. And then the hair shaft and hair follicle are heated
rapidly in order to destroy the oxygen-supply organization of and
around the hair follicle. so that the hair follicles to stop
growing, damage to hair follicle degeneration and atrophy to
achieve permanent hair removal
What Areas Can be Treated?
Lasers and pulsed light target several follicles at once, so you
can treat large areas of skin. While it would take years to perform
electrolysis on the back or legs, a typical laser hair removal
session on both legs usually takes under two hours. Lasers are
great for treating the back, shoulders, arm and chest.
How Long Do They Take?
It takes 4-6 laser hair removal sessions spaced 4 weeks apart to
see 70-80 percent reduction in hair growth. For best results,
Michelle suggests getting maintenance treatments done once a year
for a couple years at least.
